1. Q-Do you think they all finally thought about what all they did and the chaos that happened on the island when they got rescued?
A- Yes they probably figured out how childish they have been over stupid stuff. Ralph finally figures out how good of a friend Piggy was and how he wasn’t pulled into all this madness. He stayed civilized and stayed friendly with Ralph. Ralph says, “Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man’s heart, and the fall through the air of a true, wise friend called Piggy.” (Golding 202). This quote shows that Piggy was wise and didn’t fall into that savage or the “lord of the flies” that is in everybody.
2. Q- Do you think the officer thought they should have done better about being civilized
A- Yes he probably did because Ralph said that there were 2 dead and the officer saw everybody chasing Ralph and he told them, ” I should have thought that a pack of British boys would have been able to put up a better show than that.” (Golding 201-202). This quote shows that the officer thought that they could have done a better job being civilized.
